(Atlanta, GA) -- UPS is going to start charging extra fees during the peak holiday season for home-delivered packages.
The company announced the change yesterday as a way to fight rising costs. A 27-cent charge will be added to ground service packages between November 19th and December 2nd and again between December 17th and December 23rd. Heavy packages and those delivered by two-day air will see a 97-cent surcharge right before Christmas.
