The Dutchess County SPCA rescued 3 dogs, 4 cats and 3 kittens from a hardship situation in Hyde Park.
Shelter officials say they were informed that the animals had been kept inside the home for several days. Upon arrival the animals were found to be in unsanitary conditions and were immediately transported for medical care.
Donations to help with the rescue effort can be made on-line at dcspca.org, by mail or in person at 636 Violet Avenue in Hyde Park.SPCA Adoption Center hours are Tuesday through Sunday 12-5 pm, closed Monday, open until 7 pm Thursday.
