Missing Sailor Is From Poughkeepsie

(Poughkeepsie, NY) --  One of the ten sailors missing in the collision between the USS John S. McCain and an oil tanker is from Poughkeepsie. 

Corey George Ingram, an Information Systems Technician 2nd Class of Poughkeepsie, is missing. Ingram is a Poughkeepsie High School graduate who joined the Navy 9 years ago.

Meantime, the Navy confirmed Electronic Technician Kenneth Aaron Smith of New Jersey died in the collision. The 22-year-old's remains were found inside flooded compartments of the guided-missile destroyer.  Nine others were missing, including Ingram, since the collision early Monday including but the search for them was suspended today.
