Where Are Gas Prices Headed For Labor Day Weekend?

Gasoline prices have been pretty much stable over the last two weeks but they could fluctuate going into the busy Labor Day travel weekend.

The latest Lundberg Survey has the average nationwide price for a gallon of regular at $2.39.  According to Gasbuddy prices at the pumps in Poughkeepsie range from $2.27 to $2.69 for a gallon of regular.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Harvey is driving gas futures up as flooding forces refineries in the Houston area to shut down. 24/7 News reports that U.S gasoline futures hit two-year highs in overnight trading. 25-percent of the nation's crude oil refining capacity is in the Houston area.
