(Billund, Denmark) -- Danish toymaker Lego is cutting eight percent of its workforce.
The cuts represent around 14-hundred jobs and come after a decline in revenue in existing markets. Lego announced today that net income fell three percent in the first half of the year while sales were down five percent. The company is also adjusting to new leadership after five years of rapid growth.
Lego, through Merlin Entertainments, is proposing a major amusement park for Goshen in Orange County.
