(Albany, NY) -- A new Siena College poll shows New Yorkers are warming to the name of a new bridge.
The Mario Cuomo Bridge, which is replacing the Tappan Zee Bridge, received 44-percent approval according to the poll. 42-percent of New Yorkers surveyed were against the name.
A poll released in August had just 37-percent in-favor of the name with 47-percent opposed. The first span of the Mario Cuomo Bridge over the Hudson River opened to motorists last month, with the Westchester-bound span welcoming drivers sometime next year.
