A solemn ceremony this morning at Poughkeepsie City Hall as city workers and residents gathered for a 9/11 Memorial. Mayor Rob Rolison officiated at the ceremony in conjunction with the Kiwanis Club of Poughkeepsie. Nearby where the Mayor spoke, in the City Hall Memorial Plaza, are sections of steel beams from the World Trade Center.
Also participating in the ceremony were: the City of Poughkeepsie Police Honor Guard, Karen Johnson singing the National Anthem, the Reverend Susan Fortunato, Randy Ross President-Kiwanis Club of Poughkeepsie, with assistance from the City of Poughkeepsie Department of Public Works.
