(New York, NY) -- New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is on his way to Puerto Rico and he's bringing a whole lot of help with him.
Cuomo left from JFK Airport this morning with National Guard troops, engineers, generators, food, water, cots and lots of other supplies. The Island is still without power and completely devastated from Hurricane Maria. Cuomo says this is personal with so many New Yorkers who can't contact their family members and don't know if they are okay. He says New York has a larger Puerto Rican community than any other part of the country and the state will do anything it can to help.
