(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- Town of Poughkeepsie Police are working to identity human remains found near the intersection of Route 44/55 and Main Street.
Police say they found the human remains on Wednesday morning. Authorities say The Dutchess County Medical Examiner is performing an autopsy today. Officials say the identity will be released after the autopsy is completed and once the family has been notified. Police say “there is no reason to believe that there currently exists any public safety hazard in relation to this discovery.”
