The Better Business Bureau urges caution when searching the web for a puppy.
It says there's widespread fraud over the web as thieves pitch cute, lovable puppies that don't exist. The scams appear to originate in the West African nation of Cameroon and many sites only registered in just the past few months. Some websites are made to look like a neighborhood pet shop.
