(Albany, NY) -- It's unclear what will happen with all those "I Love New York" signs that are supposedly illegal on highways.
Federal officials have said the signs promoting New York State to tourists violate rules. The Federal Highway Administration said a few days ago the state is working to take them down despite writing a letter to the state years ago with that request. However, a spokesperson for the state DOT tells the "Journal News" the state has not been ordered to take them down.
