(Patterson, NY) -- A man is dead and a woman is injured in a head-on crash in Putnam County.
"The Journal News" reports a Jeep Liberty and a Toyota minivan collided on Route 22 near Thunder Ridge Road in Patterson around 6:30 this morning. The driver of the minivan was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep was rushed to the hospital but there is no word yet on her condition. The accident had Route 22 closed off through the morning commute. An investigation into the crash continues.
