(Albany, NY) -- With the general election about a month out, New Yorkers have until Friday to register to vote.
Friday is the deadline for in person registration for the General Election. Residents who have been honorably discharged from the military or have become a naturalized citizen since October 13th, may register in person at the board of elections up until October 28th.
Governor Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order this year allowing voters to register through any state agency. People can also easily register on the board of elections website or the DMV website.
