Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro is exploring a possible run for Governor of New York State.
Molinaro yesterday filed the paperwork with the State Board of Elections to open a new campaign account. The County Executive told WKIP Guest Host Jim Langan, that he is traveling around the state on a fact-finding tour as he considers a run for Governor in 2018. Molinaro says he plans to announce before the end of the year whether or not he will run.
If Molinaro does run and gets the Republican nomination, he would likely face off against incumbent Democrat Andrew Cuomo.
