Federal Efforts To Combat Lyme Disease

Local Congressman John Faso is working to improve the measurement and tracking of the progress of federal efforts to combat Lyme Disease.  

Congressman Faso says in reviewing the proposed budget for the Centers for Disease Control he is urging for an increase in collaboration between federal health agencies and state and local health departments to prevent and control tick-borne diseases.  Also he is pushing for an increase in research aimed at controlling or reducing the population of ticks and reducing their ability to transmit disease.
