(Goshen, NY) -- The so-called "kayak killer" is getting the maximum prison time in her fiance's death.
Angelika Graswald has been sentenced to 16-months to four-years in prison for the April 2015 death of Vincent Viafore on the Hudson River. This summer, the Poughkeepsie woman pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide, admitting she pulled the plug on Viafore's kayak during a trip to Bannerman Island causing him to drown.
The 37-year-old Graswald has been in jail for more than two years which will count toward her sentence.
