(Goshen, NY) -- Bail is set for a Goshen woman facing animal cruelty charges in connection with the deaths of nine horses.
A judge set bail at ten-thousand-dollars cash or 20-thousand dollars bond for 51-year-old Jeanne Ryan. Ryan is facing felony charges of aggravated cruelty to animals. Authorities say other animals on her property in Orange County were emaciated and not well cared for. Ryan, a former New York City Police officer, faces up to two years behind bars if found guilty of the charges.
