Two Poughkeepsie Men Are Facing Murder Charges

Two Poughkeepsie men are facing Murder charges after a man was found tied up and dead in a house at 48 Marshall Street.  

According to the City of Poughkeepsie Police, at 1:11am this morning they received a 911 call that a man at that location was being tied up and beaten.  Responding officers found the man bound and dead in the first floor apartment.  Officers stopped a man trying to flee from the house identified as 49 year old David Perry.  Another suspect escaped through an apartment window but later was tracked down in New York City.  19 year old Daniel Barletta, a resident at 48 Marshall Street, was taken into custody.

City Police were assisted by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, the NYPD and the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office.
