The sheriff in Ulster County is urging people to boycott the NFL by not watching or attending the games.
Sheriff Paul Van Blarcum posted on Facebook over the weekend suggesting residents boycott the league. He wrote that he's stopped supporting the NFL because some players have taken a knee during the National Anthem.
The social media post had many comments with some people supportive of the sheriff's message while others were upset by the post.
