It was an Ulster county resident who was murdered on Monday in Poughkeepsie. City of Poughkeepsie Police say the victim is FREDERICK “JOEY” VEITCH III, a 28 year old Shandaken resident.
The cause of VEITCH’s death is still being investigated by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office. Veitch was beaten and tied up while allegedly visiting 19 year old Daniel Barletta in Barletta’s apartment at 48 Marshall Street in Poughkeepsie. Barletta and 49 yea old David Perry are facing 2nd degree murder charges.
