Raw Milk Sickness Warning:

(Atlanta, GA) -- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning people who live in several northeastern states about contaminated raw milk.

The agency says people in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Rhode Island who drank products from the New York City-based company Udder Milk in the last six months should immediately see their doctor. The CDC says they are at risk for contracting a rare and serious germ called Brucella abortus RB51, which can make anyone sick and lead to complications, including miscarriage, for pregnant women. A New Jersey woman became ill from Brucella in September after drinking raw milk from the company.
