A tractor trailer accident in the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 in East Fishkill yesterday around 1pm created big problems throughout the evening commute.
Part of the truck was on a guardrail hanging over route 52, and part of the truck’s cargo fell on to Route 52. At one point last night there was bumper to bumper traffic for nine miles from Route 684 to the Taconic State Parkway Exit 16. Many of the feeder roads to I-84 were also jammed up. Delays were once again experienced during this morning’s commute as the accident scene was still being cleaned up.
