(New York, NY) -- Metro North is banning alcohol on trains during this weekend's SantaCon event.
MTA police officers will be on duty at Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal and on trains to crack down on partiers. Police say they will be at the ready to confiscate alcoholic beverages, hand out tickets or arrest people for being disorderly. Alcohol will not be permitted on trains and in stations from Noon Saturday through Noon Sunday.
