Sullivan & Ulster Counties Have High Opioid Rates

Sullivan and Ulster counties have some of the highest rates of opioid prescriptions in the state.

The New York State Health Foundation released a report listing the counties with highest and lowest rates of opioid prescriptions in the state. Between 2010 and 2015 Sullivan County had the most prescriptions per capita of all 62 counties, Ulster County was number six.

Health researchers are developing steps they think will lead to fewer opioid prescriptions.
