(New York, NY) -- The CDC is warning about widespread flu outbreaks in nearly two-dozen states, including New York.
It also says that with people traveling and getting together with family over the holidays, flu season could peak next week. Dutchess and Ulster counties are already reporting moderate flu activity. Adding to the concern is that this year's flu vaccine seems to be just ten-percent effective, a real mismatch. Flu is an airborne illness spread through coughing, sneezing, even just breathing and talking.
