Toys-R-Us Considers Closing More Than 100 Stores

(Wayne, NJ) -- Toys-R-Us is reportedly considering closing more than 100 stores.

The toy chain filed for chapter eleven bankruptcy protection back in September. Bloomberg reports the big box retailer is now considering closing stores in the face of weak holiday sales, which are down about 15-percent from last year.

The prospect of store closures could deal another blow to Toys-R-Us' biggest suppliers. Both Hasbro and Mattel have already blamed Toys-R-Us' Bankruptcy for hurting their sales.
