(New York, NY) -- Airlines are reacting to the winter storm by cancelling flights.
Nationwide, more than 34-hundred flights are cancelled. The major New York airports are seeing more than 16-hundred cancellations. Nearly half are at Newark Airport, followed by LaGuardia and JFK. Stewart Airport officials say flight activity at the Newburgh-area airport could be affected by the snowstorm. So, if you're planning on flying today, you'll want to check with your airlines before heading out the door.
