(New York, NY) -- Governor Andrew Cuomo wants New York exempted from a federal plan to expand offshore drilling.
He's fired off a letter to Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke saying the controversial plan would raise the risk of oil spills, accelerate climate change and hurt New York's economy. Cuomo noted that Florida has been exempted and wrote that the Empire State should get the same consideration.
