(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- A new proposal would put a charter school in Poughkeepsie. The Hudson Valley Success Academy Charter School would be the first charter school in Dutchess County. Under the proposal, the school would open in the fall of next year. The state would have to approve the application for a new charter school.
Organizers are holding their first Community Forum, it will be held tonight at the Hudson Valley Community Center 110 Grand Street in Poughkeepsie. It begins at 6pm.
