(New York, NY) -- Toys R Us plans to close about 180 stores as it tries to work its way back from bankruptcy including the store near Kingston. It is unclear how many employees will be impacted at that store.
The company filed court documents late yesterday announcing its plans to close underperforming stores. A major discount sale will begin at the Town of Ulster store with a closure likely by April. The retailer also plans to combine Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores in a number of locations.
