New York Takes Lead On DACA

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman will be in federal court in Manhattan this afternoon for a critical DACA hearing.

A federal judge is hearing arguments on his motion for a preliminary injunction to block President Trump's efforts to end DACA. Schneiderman has called Trump's decision cruel and inhumane, saying the 800-thousand Dreamers brought to the U.S. illegally by their parents, mainly from Mexico, have no other home but America and deserve to stay.  Fifteen states have signed on to New York's legal action, including New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
