The feds are planning to withhold 14-million-dollars for the hundreds of illegal "I Love New York" signs posted across the state.
New York has repeatedly ignored warnings by the feds that the signs are a distraction and not safe and a violation of federal law. The state Transportation Department believes the signs are safe and provide useful information and will continue to work with the feds on a compromise.
