New York Skier Qualifies For Olympics Finals


(PyeongChang, South Korea) -- A New York skier is moving onto the finals in a Winter Olympics event.

Last night Morgan Schild came in third qualifying for the freestyle moguls. Two of her teammates also qualified. Schild's event is set for Sunday morning, but it will air later on NBC.

Saturday will mark the first full day  of competition at the Winter Olympics, and the first day medals will be  awarded.  Medals will be handed out in women's biathlon, women's cross  country skiing, men's 15-hundred-meter short-track speed skating, normal  hill ski jumping, and women's three-thousand-meter speed skating.
