A huge new state-of-the-art indoor water park is being built near the new Resorts World Catskills casino in Sullivan County. Today a “topping off” ceremony was held to mark the symbolic completion of the structural phase of the project. Dozens of construction workers gathered around as a 37 foot long, 1,500 pound steel beam was hoisted into place.
Officials with the Kartrite Hotel and Indoor Waterpark say construction is on track for completion of the project early next year. The project includes the four-season waterpark and a luxury hotel. The waterpark will feature five ProSlide-supplied waterslides, a FlowRider surf attraction, a wave pool with an LED movie screen, a lazy river and other activities.
