(Albany, NY) -- Today is the last day for drivers to capitalize on the Thruway Authority's cashless toll amnesty program.
It allows drivers who have outstanding tolls and violations to get them paid to avoid late fees. Cashless tolls went into effect at the Tappan Zee Bridge a couple years ago but it apparently caused a lot of problems. Drivers who didn't have EZ-Pass complained they either never got a bill in the mail, the bill was really late or they were hit with late fees.
