Central Hudson is dealing with powerlines down all over the Hudson Valley as the nor’easter slammed the area with heavy wet snow and wind gusts of up to 50mph.
Electric lines were reported down in Poughkeepsie, Rhinecliff. Amenia, New Hackensack ,Tivoli and many other locations. Earlier today, more than 70 thousand Central Hudson customers were off the grid with 24 thousand Dutchess County residents without power along with more than 26 thousand Ulster County residents. Local utility crews are getting mutual aid help from Hydro-Quebec as they fan out across the Mid-Hudson in a major restoration effort.
