There are more details on that incident Tuesday where a man was threatening to jump off the Walkway Over The Hudson.
As the man was leaning over the river a park employee and several city of Poughkeepsie police officers grabbed him just as he stepped off the structure. He was hanging over the river as the officers and park employee were able to secure him and pull him back to safety. The man was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
“Departments on the scene were the City of Poughkeepsie Police and Fire Departments, Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department, Town of Lloyd Police, Arlington Fire, Mobil Life.”
