Flu rates in New York are the lowest they've been in months.
According to the state's newest numbers, confirmed cases of the flu dropped 23-percent from the week before. Flu rates in Dutchess and Ulster counties have also been trending down. This is the 20th week in a row, however that the flu is considered widespread in New York.
The number of patients hospitalized with laboratory confirmed influenza was 261,a 26% decrease over last week. There were no influenza associated pediatric deaths reported this week. There have been six influenza associated pediatric deaths reported this season.
