Cereal Counts Food Drive Continues In Poughkeepsie


Cereal Counts, the annual boxed cereal drive is down to its final days in Poughkeepsie as they plan to pack everything up on Sunday. 

In Dutchess County, there are children, teenagers and adults of all ages who will need more breakfast food this summer. Boxes of cereal can be dropped off at the Hudson Valley Community Center at 110 Grand Avenue in Poughkeepsie anytime between 9am and 8pm thru Saturday.

“On Sunday morning May 6, volunteers will count! pack! and load up a truck full of your cereal boxes. During the week of May 7th, all boxes will be delivered to:

Dutchess Outreach/Beverly Closs Food Pantry

Zion Episcopal Church in Wappingers

Community Action Partnership for their pantries in Poughkeepsie, Beacon, Red Hook and Dover

Reach Out Family Worship Center in Hyde Park

Hudson River Housing/Gannett House

Morse Magnet Elementary School Food Pantry

Interfaith Senior Housing Tower, and the

 Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Food Pantry."
