(Newburgh, NY) -- Democratic candidate for governor Cynthia Nixon is talking tenant protections and college reform in the Hudson Valley.
The "Sex and the City" star met with residents at the Blacc Vanilla Coffee Shop in Newburgh this morning to discuss tenants' rights. Nixon then appeared at a rally at SUNY New Paltz this afternoon, where she called for full funding for SUNY, real tuition-free college for students, and fair salaries for faculty and staff.
The rally was organized by Radical University Professionals, a group that identifies itself as independent.
