(New York, NY) -- Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance is blasting New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for refusing to let him investigate former State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.
Cuomo appointed Nassau County's district attorney to look into assault allegations against Schneiderman because he claims Vance would be a conflict of interest. Cuomo, Vance and Schneiderman are all Democrats.
Vance wrote a letter to Cuomo last night blaming the governor for creating the potential conflict by ordering Schneiderman to investigate Vance's office for the handling of an investigation into Harvey Weinstein. Cuomo says the letter is inappropriate and misguided given the ongoing investigations.
