Four People Killed By Falling Trees

(Newburgh, NY) -- Four people are dead, two in the Hudson Valley and two in Connecticut, as powerful spring storms toppled trees yesterday.

Two people were killed in Orange County, both in Newburgh. An eleven-year-old girl was killed by a falling tree Tuesday afternoon while helping her mother un-load groceries from an SUV at home on Robinson Avenue. Less than two hours later, a Newburgh woman was crushed to death when a tree fell on her car. A man in Danbury, Connecticut was killed when a tree toppled onto his truck and another person was killed by a falling tree in New Fairfield.
