Maserati Crash In Ulster County Kills 2 NYPD Officers

(Shandaken, NY) -- Two NYPD officers from Long Island are dead after a crash in Ulster County on one of the officers' wedding day.

State Police say their “investigation at the scene revealed that a 2018 Maserati, being operated by John M. "Newsday" reports Colangelo had been married earlier that day at a Catskills wedding venue Full Moon Resort. The 31-year-old Colangelo was a canine officer from Huntington Station, while 39-year-old Martinez lived in Hauppauge and worked as an officer in Brooklyn.

“The State Police were assisted at the scene by the Town of Shandaken PD, Ulster County Sheriff's Office, NYC DEP, Big Indian FD, Pine Hill FD, Oliveria FD, Phonecia FD, and Shandaken EMS.”
