NY Jets Will Let Players Kneel During Anthem

(New York, NY) -- The New York Jets are breaking with the new NFL rule that says players have to either stand for the National Anthem or stay in the locker room when it's being played. Jets CEO Chris Johnson says the team will support kneelers and he will personally pay any fines imposed on the team if players kneel in protest.

Johnson says in a statement the Jets will continue to work closely with "players to constructively advance social justice issues that are important." The League has detailed that if a player kneels the team will be fined and individual teams can decide how much to fine players.
