(Albany, NY) -- The latest Siena College Poll has Governor Andrew Cuomo leading Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro by 19 points among likely voters in the Governor's race. Cuomo leads Molinaro 56 to 37 percent. Siena College pollster Steven Greenberg says “while Molinaro has a six-point lead upstate, Cuomo has a huge 65-point lead in New York City and a 17-point lead in the downstate suburbs, where Republicans have to win – or at least keep it close – to win statewide.”
Meanwhile, Governor Cuomo is maintaining a dominant lead over former "Sex and the City" actress Cynthia Nixon in New York's Democratic primary race. The new Siena College survey shows the two-term incumbent outpolling Nixon 61-percent to 26-percent. Siena pollsters say the actress hasn't gained any ground in the past two months.
