(Rhinebeck, NY) -- About 500 people attended the Starlight Ball at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck Saturday night. The event raised approximately 150 thousand dollars for the Northern Dutchess Hospital Foundation, and is one of the biggest fundraisers each year for the Foundation.
Northern Dutchess Hospital Foundation Executive Director Dawn Morrison says this year’s honoree NDP Emergency Medical Services, is an integral part of making health care work in Dutchess County. The advanced life and basic life support ambulance transportation provider has been working with Northern Dutchess Hospital for twenty-four years.
NDP President and CEO Edward Murray, says the Starlight Award is unexpected and probably the greatest honor they have ever received. Murray says the award is due to the great work of the employees of the ambulance company.
