(Kingston, NY) -- Seven Democrats got their name on the ballot but only one is moving on to the general election in the 19th congressional district in the Hudson Valley.
Attorney Antonio Delgado declared victory a little before midnight. He raised over two-million-dollars on the campaign trail, more than any of his opponents in the crowded race. The 19th district includes part of Dutchess County and all of Ulster County and several other counties. Delgado will now face Republican Congressman John Faso this fall, in what analysts say will be a close race.
