(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- Quite a bit of rain fell in the Hudson Valley last night into early this morning.
According to unofficial numbers from the National Weather Service in Albany, heavy downpours dropped nearly two inches of rain in Red Oaks Mill in Dutchess County and West Shokan in Ulster County with Poughkeepsie reporting 1.4 inches by 5:30 this morning with more rain falling after that.
At 6 a.m. The Weather Service issued a Flood Advisory for Dutchess County and part of Ulster County saying the rain “will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.” The Advisory expired at 9 a.m.
