(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- It looks like the Hudson Valley Heatwave will finally be over today. With showers and thunderstorms this morning temperatures are predicted to top out around 80 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service, the heatwave began last Friday when the mercury hit 90 degrees in Poughkeepsie. On Saturday the maximum temperature in Poughkeepsie was 92 degrees followed by 94 on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, 92 on Wednesday and 90 degrees yesterday.
