(Brooklyn, NY) -- New York candidate for governor Cynthia Nixon is taking another step forward today in her campaign.
She's submitting a petition to be placed on the Democratic ballot. The deadline to file is today and Nixon is showing off all the signatures she received during an event this afternoon in Brooklyn. The actress and activist is trying to defeat Governor Andrew Cuomo in September's primary.
